    Living in the suburbs, my only real choices are DSL with at&t and cable internet with TimeWarner Cable. The 6mbps package with at&t costs $50 plus the phoneline. (We no longer have at&t for home phone service). The 10 mpbs package with TimeWarner Cable's Road Runner costs me about $57 a month. Tack on another $30 or so for TW's digital phone (2 lines) and that's not a bad deal. Extremely high speeds (10 mpbs download, 1 mpbs upload), included Usenet Access with 150 day retention just make the deal sweeter.
