| Interleaving Issues
This is meant to be a sticky about U-Verse and it's Interleave mode.
First of all for those coming from ADSL. U-Verse has no fastpath so don't go screaming to tech support that you want it because it doesn't exist.
Interleave will add 10-20ms and that anything up to 75-100ms at the far end (hitting the targert server) is hard to get fixed, so unless it's over that, it is unlikely we can get it lower.
Below are things the AT&T techs need in order to see if anything is odd is going on with your line, vrad and/or area.
1) We need 3 traceroutes from the network tools in the 2wire. 1 to the server they are complaining about and 2 to other random places like google, etc.
2) Need to know if they are connected wireless or wired AND if they are using the 2wire or another device.
3) How many PC's wired and wireless? How many set top boxes and TV's, other devices like media centers, xboxs, ps3, etc.? Pretty much everything they have connected behind the 2wire.
4) We need to know when they see the issue, what time, was anyone watching tv, was there downloads happening, a bunch over wireless devices connected, etc.
5) What speed package they have.
