| [To Go] Mobile Broadband in Airports
I have been using my Blackberry as a tethered modem on Sprint for a while, and it seems to work well (WAY better than the internet connections in hotels!). And of course I don't need a separate wifi account, I just use the laptop and phone to use the EVDO network on Sprint.
I've noticed that this works 100% of the time, EXCEPT when I'm at D/FW Airport! I get a strong (5 bars) signal, I can use the phones mobile browser fine, but when I attach the phone and try to log onto Sprint Mobile Broadband using the phone tethered to the laptop, it will not connect (I get a goofy message about password and login ID not being found). This is really an ideal tech problem. It occurs 100% of the time from there, and NEVER occurs anywhere else. But, of course, Sprint doesn't have a clue.
Any ideas why voice and data work, but Mobile Broadband via tethered modem doesn't? Do they block that somehow at the airports (So you have to buy their wifi)?
