own one way satellite internet can I convert to two way

Own skyway dish/modem etc. would like to convert to hughesnet or other two way without purchasing all new equipment, is this possible. Phone line tie up is the problem and don't want to purchase additional land line.

Used Hughes equipment is so cheap, and the conversion so difficult and problematical, that it makes no sense to convert. You would probably have to pay at least as much for the necessary parts as for the whole thing.

Upgrading to two-way is a good idea. Trying to recycle one-way hardware is not. Hughes and Starband subsidize the equipment, so the up-front hardware costs aren't so painful. Wildblue doesn't even sell you the stuff, you lease it like DirecTV or Dish. But be careful about how and where you want your installation done. "Standard" installation is free, but very basic. It doesn't take much of a non-standard request to start rackin' up the installer bucks.
