| [BC] Increased Upload Speed on regular High Speed
This began yesterday (Nov. 5). I'm located in the Vancouver eastside.
I'm on the regular high speed plan and I noticed the upload speed increased to nearly 1.0 Mbps. The download speed hasn't changed.
At first, I thought I was on Extreme, but the download speed results matched as of those advertised for the regular High Speed plan.
Anyone else noticed this upload speed increase? |

@shawcable.net | reply to ccy10 I'm from edmonton and I also observed a increase in upload speed on regular.
Was getting about 60kB/s upload before, I'm now hitting 110kB/s.
I wonder what this means for xtreme customers, will their upload increase aswell? |

Guess we will wait and see. |

| reply to ccy10 Don't test it via website speed tests. We need sustained speed testing. uTorrent should provide a good gague. You never know, this could be the useless upstream powerboost to fool us into thinking they upgraded us while they keep increasing the price. |

You never know, this could be the useless upstream powerboost to fool us into thinking they upgraded us while they keep increasing the price. I understand that those results do indeed include PowerBoost for the downstream, but I was showing that upstream is increased.
I've tested the speeds on several download Fedora mirrors. After noticing PowerBoost had been backing off, the speeds returned to the usual speeds between 800KB/s (6.4Mb/s) and 1.0MB/s (8.0 Mb/s). As this tells me, my internet is still under the regular High Speed plan.
I thought PowerBoost affects downstream, not upstream.
Anyways, they can't increase my balance because I'm under the student plan and I've prepaid the full amount for one year. |
